Confocal Microscopy
Team leader : Pierre BOURDONCLE

Introduction
The confocal microscopy facility belongs to the
Cellular Imaging Facility which is under the scientific responsability of
Alain TRAUTMANN.
The head of the confocal microscopy facility is in principle Pierre
BOURDONCLE.
All the departments of the Institute, the IFR units, and some outside scientists use the confocal microscopy facility.
- All regular users can receive, if necessary, a theoretical and practical training concerning how to use the confocal microscope. The purpose is to transmit to the users a technical know-how in order for them to be independant enough to use machines on their own.
- A training that includes some help for the analysis, interpretation and presentation of the results and images.
- Advice to the users to improve the experiments they need to perform.
- A technical maintenance and a technological awareness in order to : 1) Make sure that the machines run smoothly on a daily basis 2)Schedule the use of the microscopes 3) Adapt the machines to the different experiments and develop new technical possibilities
